In 1989 George Manolesakis guided by his love for viniculture starts to cultivate in his privately owned vineyard in Adriani Dramas varieties perfectly acclimatized in the region’s microclimate like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Roditis, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah.
The enrichment of knowledge on matters of viniculture is constant. Target of this effort is the best possible quality grape. The constant research leads him to experimental cultivation of varieties some of which are cultivated in the region of Adriani for the first time such as : Malagouzia, Moshato Alexandrias and Agiorgitiko.
In 1998 he establishes the company G. Manolesakis Co with the distinctive title: ESTATE MANOLESAKI. The 1500 sq m. privately-owned winery of the company is equipped with latest technology machinery needed for a modern winery that produces high quality wines.
