The Estate’s privately owned linear vineyard (1, 30 x 2, 00 meters) is located in the outskirts of the village of Adriani at an altitude of 200 – 300 meters and extends in an area of 200 acres where the vines are cultivated with the personal care of Stavros Manolesakis and the advice of the Estate’s agronomists.
The greater area of Adriani presents significant morphological homogeneity, the exposure of the vineyards is northwest and the climate is semi-continental i.e. between the Mediterranean and the Continental climate. The winters are quite cold and the summers hot. In winter there are several showers that supply the vines with the necessary moisture. During the summer season there are temperature fluctuations between day and night, phenomenons that help the beneficial slow ripening of the grapes, while usually blow northwest of low-intensity winds almost all year.
The soil is clay, and offers the perfect conditions to produce wines with intense and complex aroma, good structure and balance. The planting density is 350 vines / ha and of low yield (for most varieties is in the range of 500-600 kg / ha).The vineyard composition of the varieties is : the whites Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malagouzia, Muscat of Alexandria, Assyrtiko and the reds Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Agiorgitiko, Moschomavro, Limnio and Pinot noir.
